About

My mission is simple: help mothers feel strong, supported, and like themselves again — in their body, their feeding journey, and how they nourish themselves, during a season that asks so much and offers so little support back.

My Story

My fascination with the female body started back in high school in Los Angeles, while researching a paper on women's health and bodily autonomy. That curiosity never really left — but it wasn't until I became a mother myself that I understood what the postpartum season actually asks of a woman, and how little support there usually is for it.

In 2018, I started working in the birth world as a certified Doula, and later as a birth assistant to a midwife in Western New York. I saw up close how much of a difference real, attentive care can make — and I also saw the gap that opens up once a family goes home. Mothers are cleared to "go back to normal" with no real roadmap for what recovery actually looks like.

That gap is what led me back to school. I wanted to combine the caring, hands-on side of birth work with rigorous, evidence-based training, so I built out a few different pieces:

  • Movement — training in the Balanced Body® comprehensive Pilates method

  • Feeding — human lactation studies through National Louis University, a certification through the International Doula Institute, and certification as a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor

  • Nutrition — a certification through the Stanford Center for Health Education

That combination became Alba Studio.

A New Chapter in the Sandhills

After years of studying, practicing, and supporting families, I've planted roots here in North Carolina. Based in Southern Pines, Alba Studio offers private, in-home support to families throughout Pinehurst and the Sandhills, plus virtual sessions for families further out.

My hope is simple: that this season doesn't feel like something you just have to get through. Motherhood shouldn't mean losing yourself. I'm here to help you feel strong, supported, and like yourself again — body, mind, and all of it.
